A part-time real estate agent can be very successful. National Realty excels in helping part-time agents. Some have full-time jobs or family obligations. Others are new to the business or just passed the PSI real estate exam. Our Reston-based company has many agents who are part-time. We specialize in helping part-time agents with hands-on training and support.
Company Description
- National Realty is a mid-sized, indepdent family owned brokerage based in Reston, VA.
- Owners Keith and Paul Hartke (brokers, brothers), 30 year veterans, work directly with their agents.
- Training is in-person, via zoom meetings, and videotaped online,
- The headquarters at the Hartke Building in Reston is just off the Dulles Toll Road.
- We welcome new agents, part-time agents and help agents become successful in the business either full or part time.
Job Requirements
- You need to pass a Virginia real estate pre-license course and the Virginia PSI exam. (See VaRealtySchool.com)
- You must have a social security number or a Virginia driver license number.
- You must be at least 18 years old to become a real estate agent in Virginia.
- Other requirements:
Excellent communication skills.
Basic computer and internet skills.
Ability to be a team player.

Job Responsibilities
- Learn MLS listing and search functions
- Work under the brokers for advice on transaction
- Communicate with clients on a timely basis
- Use the internet, email and phone to maintain positive relationships.
- Keep updated with real estate laws and regulations
- Follow company policies and procedures
